Access 2003 ODBC connection failed

A client was recently upgraded to WinXP/Access 2003. Everyone else in her
group is using Win2K/Office2K. The Access database is stored on a shared
network drive with links to many tables. Everyone using Access 2K can use the
database with no issues. When my client tries to run queries or open tables
from her Access 2003 - she gets ODBC connection failed error. Her IT
department has uninstalled and reinstalled her Sybase 12.5 driver. Any
insight as to why she would be the only one having problems?

This is a common problem that I have had when trying my best to get the rusty
old things working in this office. So don't worry you are not alone. It is
a quite straight forward operation to reinstall the api BUT this will only
work if your client is not using the host (normally the main office server)
as a terminal as the api is an interface only.
There are a number of step by step methods which you can follow probably the
most comprehensive is at http://www.simongibson.com/intranet/odbc although
the MS site also has a few tips but it's a bit convoluted.
Hope this helps
