Access 2003 and workgroup files

Have the workgroup security routines changed with Access 2003?

I've read on the ng that one picks the mdw file in the tools/security
menu or something? Does that mean that one designates the mdw file for
each mdb? Or is it just that an access point is provided for the mdw
file, just like it is in Access 2002?

It would be great if the the old way of using a shortcut with a path
that refs the proper mdw was no longer needed - that one could specify
which mdw file is to be used for the db in the db. But I'm not sure that
this is what the posts I've read are all about.

It is only a difference in how you set your default MDW. There is still
no "assigning" of an MDW to a particular MDB. That couldn't work because
the MDW is loaded before the file is. You use a workgroup "per session"
just as always.

OK, thanks for the info.

Access sec is pretty allright with me; the only onerous part, that I've
yet to really refine to the point of painless execution, is the shortcut
path to ms access and the secured mdw; I'm using inno, have to tackle
that next.
