How do I get MSN Access 2000 to allow me to import a *.prn file which is an
excel file turned inside out ---- without getting an error msg ----
"Database is Read Only" ? HELP HELP HELP I can update, read, write data
to the database while in Access, but it will not let me import.

If (for example) you are using Access 2000 and the database was created in
Access 97, you cannot modify or create any objects (tables, queries, forms,
etc) until you convert it to the version of Access that you are using. Not
saying that's your problem, but it's one thing to try. Note that you can
still USE the current forms, queries, etc, as well as work with the data, but
you cannot import any objects.
