Access 2000 concurrent with Access 2003

About a year ago, my office purchased a copy of Speed Ferret to allow me to
rapidly make changes to Access 2000 databases. We recently moved to Office
2003, and the IT folks overwrote the previous version of Access. I now find
out that Speed Ferret cannot directly read Access 2003 files, so I must
reinstall Access 2000.

Are there any problems with installing Access 2000 overtop of Office 2003,
or should I uninstall Office 2003,install Office 2000, then reinstall Office
2003 into a separate file structure? Are there any known problems with this
installation, similiar to the problems encountered when installing A2K over
A97?

You can upgrade to the latest version of SpeedFerret, which includes support
for Access 2003, for $99. See the vendor's web site at ...

GlobalSign digital certificate is a forgery and should be deleted without
being read. Follow-up questions should in general be posted to the
newsgroup, but if you have a good reason to send me e-mail, you'll find
a useable e-mail address at the URL above.

Brendan,

I've got 4.1, but it won't work with Access 2003 unless you also have 2000
or 2002 installed. I'm still waiting on V5, which was supposed to be
released in the Sept 2003 timeframe (at least that is what the sales office
told me when I asked during June of 2003).
