Accepting or declining tasks

Dianne

When I assign a task to someone, the task shows up on
that persons email as a simple email message, with not
ACCEPT, DECLINE or REASSIGN BUTTON visible.

What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the other person's email address is marked for rich-text format.
Double-click it to check.

Eureka - I found it. If you dig deep enough in
Microsofts knowledge base, you will find article that
explains the problem. If you are using Microsoft
Exchange Server, your tasks will appear as an email.
There is a correction listed for this. sorry I lost the
article number, but search for Tasks Appear as Emails.

Hi Sue:

I have the exact same problem as Diane; it also happens
when I try to forward a contact to someone (using Outlook
2003). I tried ensuring that person's email uses Rich
Text Format. The result, unfortunately, is the same.
Anything else I should check?

I have had no luck finding that KB article despite searches in Microsoft.com. If anyone can point me to the exact one (or Dianne if you can give me the solution you found) it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
