some system programs just run automaticlly at windows startup, which take some of my limited resources. I wanna disable some of the auto-run programs without bringing any promblems to my system, those programs are

program command
Synchronization Manager mobsync.exe /logon
PRPCMonitor prpcui.exe
Configuration Loader sys32.exe

can anyone help me out? thanks!

mobsync.exe:

"Microsoft Mobile Synchronization Manager. One annoying programme you
will find running in W2K/XP is mobsync.exe. This is because it is set by
default to synchronise your home page at log-on. To stop this, run the
programme "Synchronise" from your "Start/Programmes/Accessories Menu.
Select setup, and uncheck the synchronisation options, then deselect the
option to synchronise your home page. From explorer select Tools/Folder
Options/Offline Files: deselect the "Enable Offline Files" option. When
you reboot you will find the programme is no longer running by default."

I think it's a virus?

sys32.exe
a worm/trojan
Have you an uptodate AV app?
Try www.Symantec.com look for 'on line scan'
Might be an idea to checkout Adaware and/or SpyBot Search & Destroy

When I start a certain program, it tries to install "DAO", Microsoft's Data
Access Object. I believe this is part of the Access database product that
comes with Office. The installer calls for the disk with DAO on it, but
the Office disks don't seem to fill the need. Can somebody suggest how to
get around the problem. Note that I just kill off the Installer, and the
software product starts and runs with no problem. Thanks.

Can this be uninstalled, or removed from the start-up list or just deleted
without usent AV ?
