About to build new PC

I am about to build my new PC, bits arrive tomorrow, quick question.
Do i need to Format the new hard drive before I start to install Win XP?

Hi,

Boot from your XP CD and you can then do your partitioning and formatting
from the XP install routine.

New HD needs to be partitioned (fdisk or Manufacturers utility) then formatted

The XP cd can do both the partitioning and formating
