about QFEs install

hi,

I have installed my Xpe and SP1,then when i try to install QFEs, it stop
with these info:

"
A new platform object needs to be installed before this update can be
installed. Please download the latest platform update from
<http://www.microsoft.com/embedded> and install it before attempting to
install this QFE.
Setup cannot continue.

"


Can anyone explain these info for me ?

Hi,

If you read on each QFE page you will see something like:
Install This First
Repository look-up may cause incorrect files to be copied (Q811279)
Important: Install this update first. It is required before installing
the updates listed below. (You only need to install this QFE once.) This
update addresses a potential problem when large numbers of repositories are
used that take advantage of the fallback repository mechanism. This problem
does not occur with Windows XP Embedded with Service Pack 1 by default, but
could occur with new component updates.

Record when you install this QFE, as re-installing it over an original
instance may cause performance issues with your Windows XP Embedded
development workstation.
