How is an inability to power up a Windows XP issue?
Does it post (show the normal HP or memory count or whatever before Windows
begins to load normally)?
Does it begin to load windows?
At what stage is this failing?!
Check the cabling, see if the power plug is loose both in the socket and the
back of the drive tower. If the wall socket is switched, make sure it is on
(check breakers/fuses as well). If the system initially powers on, then
dies, it may be the power supply unit in the tower. If it boots partway,
then fails, then you need to tell us how far it goes and what, if any,
messages you see on the screen.
