about Microsoft Office

hi all~
I have a confusion with Microsoft Office product.
I have an xpe image, and i want to install MS Office in xpe, but get many
error messages.
I don't know that it is the problem of xpe's component loss or product
compatibility.
my senior tells me that it is MS licnese problem, but i don't sure that is
truth.
Can Someone give me an ensured answer?
thanks a lot.

Hi Hayes,
as for licence you are not allowed to use XPE in an office automation
device, therefore you are not legally
allowed to install Office or even kind of programs. ( like Open Office )
On the tech side Office could be installed on XPE, just to check how my
image was complete I found that
error messages required following components:
Jet Database Replication Extensions
Jet database Foreign data ODBC
Jet Database ODBC support
Visual Fox Pro ODBC driver stub.
Perhaps your image needs some extra components that I already had.

if you get error when you try to install Office 2003 Professional, SBE
and Standard
at Service Pack 1 and 2 level.

Error 1911. Setup cannot register type library for the file
c:\windows\system32\ven2232.olb

go to this URL: http://www.cnitblog.com/lym520/archive/2006/03/31/8353.aspx

download the zip archive and extract it to a temp folder and import
the SLD with component database manager.

Add the component to your runtime image with target designer.

If you have already a working runtime image, just copy the binary to
%SystemRoot%\system32
