About building up a list of pictures

Hello to everyone.

I meet some problems when I tried to build up a list of pictures for
tables, pictures and figures, seperately.

For tables, I successfully build the list for tables by using caption
with label as tables.

I guess it should also be ok for figures.

However, I did the following steps try to build the list for pictures,
but failed.

1 I created a new label in Insert|Caption|Label as "Pic.".
2 I treat "Pic." label the same way as "Table" label in the same tag.
I went to the place I want to insert the picture list. I used
Insert|Index and Tabels|Table of Figures and then changed the caption
label to "Pic.".
3 Word told me that "Error! No table of figures entries found."

Is this possible? Would I can do if I want to seperate the figures
drawn by myself and pictures from a digital camera?

Thanks.

If more detailed information needed, just let me know.

Wenjie

If your pictures are wrapped, your captions are in text boxes and Word can't
"see" them. Convert the text boxes to frames or, better, make both picture
and caption inline and put both in a frame.
