Ability to modify drives scanned on "full scan"

Does anyone know if it's possible to modify the drives scanned on the
automatic "Full scan" option. I have a network attached drive which I do NOT
want scanned as it's covered by another system.

I can find a way to do this using Scan | Custom Scan, but note the option
for "Custom Scan" isn't present under Tools | Options.

Yes, it's possible using the Tools > Options > Scroll down to Advanced
Options and Exclude that drive location

Joe Faulhaber[MSFT] indicated that:

Custom scans are left out of the scheduled scans intentionally, since they
don't provide very good protection. If custom scan finds something, it
will
then perform a quick scan (a little better than the normal quick scan,
actually) to do proper cleaning, but for regular protection, quick or full
are the only ones that we consider for "green" status.

I've seen this issue posted multiple times though the beta, but I don't
believe we've ever pinned down the circumstances which create this issue--on
plain Microsoft domain tcp/ip networks, I haven't seen network drives listed
or scanned.

Can you describe your networking software and environment?
