A7N8X-DX FireWire HELP!

Does anyone have any idea what might cause the firefire port not to
open on startup? When I check device manager I have a yellow
exclamation mark next to the firewire device. As far as I can tell the
connector is in the correct spot and all..

Rev2 MoBo and WinXP with latest updates. As far as I can tell it's
always been like this since the begining..

Have you tried deleting and rebooting ?

Hi, Yes, I've tried all that, uninstalling the device, removing it,
re-installing it.. etc.. it still comes up with the Exclamation Mark
under device manager..
