I am a new user of Windows-XP, as I stated in an earlier message on this
group. Today, I received Windows-XP related request from a friend as
follows:
Quote:
While you are talking to folks on the Internet could you find out how
one determine what executions are taking place at any given time on my
computer (XP operating system)? It seems it is getting slower all the
time and I hear the disk whirring and, at times the Ethernet LAN & WAN
lights blinking when there is no valid reason. I am using Norton
anti-virus, Windows Defender & SPYBOT Search and none of them tell me
anything is wrong. When I double click on a program (MS Word or Excel,
etc.) it seems to take forever to come up and then even longer to bring
up the requested file.
Any help would be appreciated.

I know for sure that I don't have an answer for his problem. Could
anybody help me with this? I would gladly ask him for additional
details if that is necessary.
Thanks for any help sent my way of this request.
