a windows update that will not download

I am running XP.....and have Office 2003 installed on my laptop. I got an
auto update for Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3). I've tried several times
to download it, but with no success. And it keeps popping up.
When it does not install, the only thing that comes up is a window that says
could not download the update.
A. How can I get it to download, or.....
B. How can I get it to stop popping up as an update.

Go to Microsoft's download page, download the SP3 installer (the full-files
version) and install it. See if that resolves the Windows Update issue.

If not, try posting in microsoft.public.windowsupdate for more help.
