A Squared trojan scanner?

L

louise

After all my efforts to keep resource usage low, I accidentally
installed A Squared Personal trial version instead of A Squared
free version, which doesn't do always on protection.

So - what to do? I know that many feel it is important to run a
trojan scanner always on. But if I were going to do that, should
it be A Squared? How is it on resources?

I'm presently running:

Nod 32
Linksys router - NAT firewall
Sygate (which I assume I will get rid of within the next few months
since it is now owned by Symantec).
A Squared with the guard protection always on.

As noted above, I meant to use A Squared free as an on demand
scanner but I downloaded and installed the trial paid version
instead :) If I were to decide to run an always on trojan
scanner, I would be willing to pay for one, but again, should I -
and should it be A Squared?

I'm trying to figure out which of the above might be redundant, if
anything.

Thoughts - suggestions?

TIA

Louise

I think a good AV software will catch Trojans and a separate "on access" scanner is not
needed.
