Some lightning instructions:

To shut down all the bars:

Open Internet Explorer.
Click on 'Tools', 'Internet Options'.
Click on the Advanced Tab.
Under the heading of 'Browsing', uncheck the box titled, 'Enable third-party
browser extension's.
Click on OK. You may have to restart your browser and/or computer.

To then remove the bar (it should be shutdown to ensure everything is removed):

Download BHOCop from:

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,270,00.asp

Install the program, and run it. Select the bar in question, then remove it.
You may then enable BHOs (what the bar was) if you desire to do so. While it is
necessary for third-party programs, it is not necessary to the functioning of
Internet Explorer.

To further remove any other programs that may have installed themselves,
download AdAware here:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Ensure that you update the program after you install it. This shall offer
maximum protection against the newest threats.

You should also consider CWShredder. Think of it like a companion to AdAware
that gets the varients that AdAware may miss. Download CWShredder from:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

You may also wish to read the following article, as it explains the
ins-and-outs of what you may be dealing with:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

If you are unable to view the above sites, you may need to delete your
Hosts file. You can rename your hosts file through the following steps:

1) Click on Start, then find files or folders.

2) Type the following: "hosts"
(and yes, include the quotation marks).

3) Delete the file following files:
C:\windows\hosts
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

If you have any concerns, please reply to this post,

Thanks,

Altrus
