Hey all,

I've just tried to set up a wired connection between my
two XP machines, both have inbuilt network cards and both
have had PCI wireless network cards put in.

My wireless network worked great when I had XP as the
server and 2000 as the client, but now I have two XP
machines, the wireless network doesn't work. At all.

Instead I have tried a wired network. However, each time
that I plug the network cable into either machine and
check the LAN status, I get the message "A Network Cable
is Unplugged." I know for a fact that it isn't...

Any suggestions at all are most appreciated!

If you're directly connecting them to each other, you
need a crossover cable, or a switch (or hub) with each
machine plugged into it using a normal patch cord.
