a freak problem

I am working on a quite big Access project, but i found there is a problem
when starting up the project, it loads all the statement in the startup
module, but will only hang in the first time whenever i restart the computer.
I trace the startup line by line, and found if i put a extra message box
anywhere in the startup module, then the problem will be solved. However, it
is a stupid solution to popup a useless message to user. It bring a nightmare
to me, cause i got to restart the computer whenever i want to test it or made
any change to the program. So, i wish to have your experience to help me out
of this nightmare. Please help!

Can you post the startup code? Hard to say what's going on without
seeing anything. Also, what additional library references are set?
