A font does not look correct. How can I fix it?

A certain font does not look correct after typing text. All the "s" are not
as bold as the other text and after changing to a different font the problem
is not apparent. It appears to be an issue with hust one font. Any clues?

It's sounds like a corruption of the font file itself. Try replacing it.
