A few things about RC1

Hi,
I've installed RC1 without any problem. Install tooks 40 minutes on a
clean install from XP to a clean partition.
Now I have some questions to do about some problems I found, to see if
anyone had experienced the same.

When I click on the download windows live messenger link, I get an error
and then, I can't open some control panel windows (i.e. Network config).
These windows open and immediatly close without showing nothing. This
happens on a standard user account and the admin account I configured at
setup. Switching users don't solve the problem, and I need to restart
Windows in order to restore the normal behaviour.
I can reproduce the problem every time I click on the link I mentioned,
so I want to know if some of you have the same problem or it's isolated
to my config only.

Beta 2 was running fine on the same machine regardless the known
problems it has. Also, on my machine I didn't notice a large improvement
on speed between Beta 2 and RC1 as I expected, XP Pro is still running a
lot faster on the same configuration.

Thank in advance

Thanks, but the problem is not only that link, a lot of links (mostly
from control panel) doesn't work. Some links just throw an error, and
others do nothing.
I think my installation is corrupted in some way. The funny thing is
that it happens right after windows clean install, no other programs
installed (only nVidia video drivers and Creative SB Live Windows XP
drivers where installed).

I'll try to reformat and install RC1 again, but if it was a setup
failure, I think the MS Setup team needs to do a better job for RTM
because no all people wants to install a OS twice in two days because
setup flaws.

BTW, I didn't get any error while installing Vista RC1, all the process
was very smooth, but as I said my installation is corrupted in some
strange way.
