vista rc1 install

can any boady tell me the setup difference btween rc1 and beta.i had the beta
working ok for weeks but now cannot install rc1, computer shuts down when
finishing setup and when i turn back on it rolls back setup,tried upgrade
from beta,xp and clean install and different downloads and burns ,any idears

Might help if you were more specific about the exact place the shutdown
occurs. Last step before shutdown.

Hello, i have exactly the same error...
i'm able to boot, enter informations and the installer starts to copy
files....at the end of the "Copy Files" process my system reboot and an error
message say me: "Windows rebooted incorrectly, please try reboot and if the
error persist then please re-install Windows Vista"

Please note: My beta 2 works perfectly.....only the RC1 fail.....
Please Note 2: The system compatibility checks give me only good resuslts...
Please Note 3: Without any error number, should be very difficult for me to
understand which one hardware goes in conflict, then should be impossible for
me to switch to Vista.......anyway until i will change my computer with a
newer one....

Motherboard: Gigabyte 710 XP Ultra
Processor: Athlon 2.200 Mhz
Ram: 1 GB DDR
HD: Segate 250 GB
Sound Card: Built In
Network: Built In
Video Card: Ati Radeon 9.600 PRO

ISDN PCI Card...Should be this one the incompatible device?

Please Note 4: I could not continue to format my Computer for each time i
will try to install windows....i need to know the error cause before....

Just a guess, but there have been many reports of problems with ATI cards.
Uninstall the ATI driver and any USB devices except the keyboard and mouse
if they are USB, and see if you have better luck. I believe new ATI drivers
are now available for RC1 so you may be able to install them now if they are
backward compatible.
