A question about RC1

I'm one of the unfortunate ones still using vista beta 2 build 5384. and
patiently waiting for the pulic release of RC1

Can anyone tell me if MSFT has rectified the shutdown button issue in RC1 ?

In RC1 does clicking it still put the computer in standby or does it now
actually shut down the pc ?
For some reason build 5384 doesn't like waking up out of standby mode and
it's very annoying if I accidentally click the shut down button. Only to
find the computer refuses to come out of standby mode.

Hopefully in RC1 clicking shut down actually shuts the computer down

It is still the standby mode as far as the Pre-RC1 build, but can be changed.

yes it does. And 5536 (ACPI mobo) will not wake from hibernation. The pc is
fully operational, OS just doesn't wake. However, clicking on the arrow, then
selecting shut down does shut down.

Will:
By default the power button is set to "sleep". It can be changed to
shutdown under "Power Options" then click advanced settings, then click
power button/lid.
