We have had a few guests in our garden. I think they are husband and wife.

I couldn't help taking these picture hope you all like. I really like the green one but if you look closely the other one is partly BLUE!

Next thing to do is name them! They have been coming over every day. Names are welcome. :)

Nice pics PSD99 :)

Have you got water near by?

We get quite a few of those on the canals outside our flat, but about 3 males to every female for some reason!

admin - we got a little river nearby and about the male to female ratio? isn't it ALWAYS like that everwhere we go?

nivrip - Mr and Mrs Mallard? Sounds good to me.

Flopps- How do you know the ugly one is female?

Taffy cat - They spend a good few hours in my garden. They come right up near my door so I give them some bread. They must be nesting close to my garden.

I've not seen these for years and it's comforting to see they are still around if it's the same ones.

bread not good?
Simply put, Birds are NOT mammals ... bread, especially dry bread, will swell in the birds stomach and can cause other nastie side affects ... for ducks if you ain't got whole corn, grain or even lettuce, then just leave 'em be ... ;)

I enjoyed your pics though ... I have a few hundred bird pics I could share. :D

I saw this other bird in my garden yesterday it looked like a hen it was brown and moving fast. Very strange.
