98 Upgrade to xp

I'm trying to install XP on a machine with 98 installed. When the XP
installation starts, at the point where is normally an option to select
upgrade or new installation, there is no option to upgrade. Any suggestions?

You need a "Retail Version", and not an "OEM Version", of
Windows XP in order to upgrade.
