98 upgrade to 2000

We captured LPT1 to a network printer and it was working
fine, later upgraded the machine to Win 2000 OS and
installed a local printer We cannot get the machine to
release LPT1 to the local printer. When we installed the
printer it found it and does a test page fine, but our
applications still print to the network printer. We
uninstalled the network printer from the local machine and
made the local printer default. Still goes to the network
printer.
Any ideas?

net use LPT1: /d
?

Are there any logon scripts that map to the network printer?
