98 and xp

I have 3 desk tops, (2 xp and one 98) aloong with 2 laptops (xp)
the laptops are wireless running through a motorola gateway plugged into my
linksys 4 port router. THe desk tops are running through the router (wired)

problem:
lap tops see all systems
98 desk top sees all systems
the 2 xp desktops ONLY see the desk tops, not the wireless.

I have tried all types of settings....

any thoughts
