700 Pro, Linux and DVI

Hi,

Just installed SUSE 9.3, but my monitor does not work if I use the DVI plug,
but works perfectly an the analog output. Both ares et up for 60 Hz refresh,
but when I start with only the DVI plug in use the monitor says there is no
signal present. The same config works perfectly with analog output. I use an
Eizo 465 monitor, but have tried on my wife's machine (Acer 15", DVI) with
the same result.

Any suggestion will be most welcome.

Check the On Screen Display <OSD> and see if there is a choice for
input. Select Auto or DVI.

Bah. Hit send too fast. Also run sax2 and make sure your monitor is
set Eizo 465 if it's listed or lcd at 60Hz/your native resolution/24
bit. Or try a listed monitor that's close to yours.

I have a Viewsonic VP930B but use the Viewsonic VP190 setting in SUSE
10.0.

Hi,

Thanks Bill, but I tried both of your suggestions without any luck.
Will try to install Linux for thr 3rd time and download all the updates,
might do the trick.
