64bit Gameport support

I am aware that this is legacy technology, but is it likely that Microsoft
will provide a device driver to support the gameport on XP 64bit?

After all, motherboards still come with it, and there are still a lot of
home users who have gameport devices, and who would more than likely wish to
still keep using them after upgrading, instead of just throwing them out, and
spending more money.

That would be up to the motherboard manufacturer to write the appropriate
drivers, not Microsoft.

Gameport support was removed from 64bit systems. It caused too many problems
that the hardware manufacturers didn't want to deal with. DirectInput also
had the gameport supporting files removed from the OS.
