I use Windows XP operating system. How can I tell
whether I have Windows XP 64-bit Edition?

64-bit hardware and software costs many times that of normal 32-bit
computers and software ... you would know it by the bill and the hords
of salesmen from Sun and IBM at your doorstep.

If you want to check, though, just to make sure check My Computer,
Properties.

You have the 32-bit edition. Anyone who has the 64-bit version
knows it by the two large dents in his wallet--one for 64-bit
Windows, the other, even larger dent, for the special hardware
needed to run it.

If you are not aware of a hole in your wallet some thousands of dollars
deep from buying an Intel Itanium chip and a copy of XP to go with it,
you have the 32 bit version.
