6-3/4 Envelope Printing

I can no longer print 6-3/4 envelopes (small business
envelopes) under Win2K. Neither Office 2000, or WP 11
will do it using a Brother HL-1240 or a Minolta QMS-2300.
I don't know if it's a Win2K problem or a driver problem.
All drivers are current. I used to be able to do this
under 98SE and earlier versions of WP and Office. WP
returns an error telling me the paper size isn't supported
by the printer. The Minolta just chokes and refuses to
print the envelope. I don't have a clue. I may have to
revert to WP7 and 98SE to resolve it! Anuy suggestions?

You should be able to create a custom paper size, and print
the envelope that way. (An envelope is just another paper
definition.) Worth a try, anyhow. You'll have to experiment
to see whether to print portrait or landscape, etc, since
you may otherwise not get the return address printable
where you want it. (I've found orientation of custom paper
sizes is a problem with printers that have unequal minimum
margins.)

But it's odd that the W9x and (apparently) earlier W2K
drivers had no problems with the built in definitions. H'm.

I tried that, several times. You can create the
definition, but WP11 and Word 97 or Word 2K generate
errors when you try to print to the custom form. I went
back to WP8, and was able to create custom definitions and
print to them. I still don't know if this is an operating
system problem or an application problem? I got around it
for the moment, but can't use WP11 or Word.

Since it works w/ WP8, I'd say it was an app problem. From
what I've heard, WP after WP8 is not good -- your
experience supports that opinion. :-( There may be a patch
- have you searched Corel's website?

As for Word.... Don't tempt me!

Good luck!
