5308 an internal error occurred while displaying the image selection wizard

I have formatted the drive (IDE) with XPSP2 because I know RAW isn't
supported, yet I still get the error:
an internal error occurred while displaying the image selection wizard
Got 5308 working in VMWare, but not on actual computer. Thought it would be
the other way around. Any help would be much appreciated. All the web
forums suggested newgroups for answer, yet I don't see this issue listed.
Thanks

Are you running 5308 from MSDN, the first download from Connect (the one
released 2 weeks ago) or the new downloaded build which was put up there
only a few days ago?

I am running the first release from Connect. Installs and runs fine in
VMWare.

See if you can download the latest one, or re-burning the image you already
have on a very low setting. If there's an option to verify data, use that as
well.

Well, I did mention there were issues with DVD-R media, and I did say burn
at a low speed. If you have a computer or know anybody with a PC that has a
DVD+RW burner, back up the ISO for the Vista build as a data file and burn
it on another computer to see if it corrects the issue. And where is the
$windows.~bt\sources\panther\setupact.log I requested? :)

Zack
Thanks for the tips. I did burn the new 5308.60 version at the lowest (4x)
speed avilable in the newest Nero version 7.0.8.2 with my Sony DRU-720A
burner upgraded with the latest firmware onto a Sony DVD-R.

I still get the same error. Should I be extracting the iso image to a
folder, then burning the folder contents as a data disc? I have currently
only burned the DVD ISO image as an image with Nero. Any other suggestions
would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Marc
