Hi all,

I have just replaced this floppy drive because it does not work.
When you put power into it a green light appears and never goes away.

I got a busy career, so no time to open her up and fiddle around with her. But I am sure there is someone amongst us that can perform their engineering techniques and rejuvinate her back to life.

Luckily I replaced her with a new one via a book of 6 first class stamps and a barbarian. :)
However I am keen on selling the old one.

Please find a picture attached.
All I ask for is £10, and I will pay for any postage required, although I might settle for second class because it's cheaper.

Please send me a pm if you are interested. :)

Lemme see, when I joined my first computer forum eight years ago the most common problem was 'Help! I've just installed a new floppy drive and the led won't go out'

The solution, of course, was in V_R's answer above.

Don't people ever take notes?

And psd99, come 'ere. Let me have a word in your shell-like...

'whisper' if you seriously think people are going to pay £10.00 for a used item that can be obtained new for £6.00 online and even £8.00 in PC World and an item, at that, that may be faulty, you seriously need your bumps feeling by a qualified person.

Take my advice son, work for somebody else and don't start your own company.

You know it makes sense :)

Cough, PSD you are always trying to get everything *on the cheap*, but when it comes to selling something as *potentially broken*, you bump the price to a tenner, even though they are retailing for around £3.50 ish.

LOL!

I am only having a bubble guys!!! :)

I was a little suprised by some of your reactions when I REQUESTED a floppy drive on another thread, so as a joke I thought I would put this one up and you all fell for it! Woops!

But in all seriousness, I got a floppy drive here and if anyone wants it
I can send it out to them before the end of the week, FREE OF CHARGE. :)

p.s it should work if you put the cable in correctly unlike psd99.
