Hi
i have EasyCleaner & System Security Software which i normally use to clear
da recycle bin etc. Yet there r some files which cant be removed like
ntuser.dat & index.dat. Should keep these softwares or remove them? Tha tasks
i do with these programs are more tedious than performed using old
tekniks.PLEASSE suggest
 
NTUSER.DAT is the user part of the Registry, and should NOT be removed. Index.dat is the IE history/TIF index which can be cleared optionally, for performance. As Index.dat is locked by the Operating System, only way to delete it from other user profile, or using "PendingFileRenameOperations" registry value (or perhaps "PendingFileRenameOperations2" which is undocumented yet), as some software already do that.
