3rd party defrag

Arshad Syed

I even tried this in Safe Mode, but when I go to defrag I get an access
violation error. The error I am getting is in Windows 200 Professional using
System Mechanic. Is it because I do not have Administrator rights on work
pc. On my home PC I am able to get it working fine.

Please help. thanks.

You should not only have Administrator rights but also logon as "Adminstrator"
to do any system maintenance. Are you asking if you're logged on with full
rights - how would we know?

Why are you asking about 3rd party software? Are you confusing the english
word "access" with the product "Microsoft Access", which this newsgroup is
specific to?

There is no "Windows 200". There is a "Windows 2000". Are you going to be
accurate or not?

If you can get it working on one PC and not another, then find the difference.
