3rd party app's window disappears

Everyday a user calls me to her desk to show me that the window for a 3rd
party application has disappeared. The application still appears in the
"applications" tab in "Task Manager". And it needs to be manually closed
("End Task") before she can reopen the application.

We suspect that it may have something to do with her using Alt-Tab to switch
between open windows, because the problem began when she started doing that.
The window seems to disappear after she has Alt-Tab'd to a different window.

Any ideas?

Is it only one particular 3rd party application window or is it
generally any 3rd party application.

If it only one, have you check with their support???

It's always the same one application.

No, I had not checked with their support. But I have just now sent an email
to the salesman who provides the support.

Even if she's using Alt+tab to switch between applications, the application
should still show up as a Taskbar button. Does it still show in the
TaskBar?

If not, the window is closing and is hung. What happens when she closes the
window without playing around with the Alt+tab key.

Tell her to:

1. Reboot
2. Logon on.
3. Start application
4. Close application
5. Check Task Manager and see if application is gone

Do not have her do any Alt+Tab's at all after she logs in. Did the actually
close and not appear in Task Manager?

Did you look in Event Viewer log for any errors.

This might help with part of the problem.. might not:
