3D Depth disabled in volume control

Ramkumar Menon

Hi,
I am unable to get good audio performance from my laptop on which i
have installed windows XP.
The balance bar for 3D Depth option seems to be disabled in the volumn
control.
If I go to volume control, i see an "Advanced" button under the volume
section. If I click on it, a dialog pops up contaning "Tone Controls".
The "Bass" and "Treble" thingies are disabled in the dialog.
Any ideas how to overcome this , and let me enjoy those good music
moments from my pc.
rgds,
Ram

The controls are disabled because your laptop sound chip doesn't support
them. You expect good sound out of a laptop ??

Hi,

Either a full set of sound card drivers are not installed or the laptops'
sound card does not support those functions (more likely).
