32bit software on 64bit hardware

Q: Is it possible to run all 32bit software on 64bit hardware?

Reason I ask is that I wanted to know whether I should upgrade my pc now to
64bit and just transplant my hard drive with xp or should i wait for vista
sp1 to come out.
