Hi I had a problem, And I'm new to posting here. So here is the problem I had:

Every Time I closed a folder it says: Windows explorer has encourtered a
problem and needs to close we're sorry for the interference. And I think I
didn't spell it right. Can someone tell me why I had the problem?

And I did a system recovery on my computer to restore the computer to the
time when this computer was bought. I did that instead of system restore
cause System Restore does not work,

Well I'm scaning my drives now, And it hasent found a virus, and I already
did a system recovery on my pc. That will always work! And my system restore
does not work thats why I did HP PC System Recovery to restore the computer
to the time when it was bought.

So if I get the problem again i'll do the steps. If this post will still be

Why give a beginner a bad time for mispelling floppy drive? You know
what he means and most pc's don't evev have floppy drive these days. I
am a beginner myself and I joined the news group to learn and perhaps
get help on occassion but some respondents seem to forget they were
not born with their current state of expertise.

I don't imagine it always did this. If you installed a downloaded CODEC pack
or have videos from the internet the source of the problem could be there. A
CODEC problem or defective video/media file can cause Explorer to crash or
other symptoms.

Your post is unclear.

If I correctly understand what you're saying, you restored your system
to its original state (back to when it was brand new). Presumably,
whatever problem you had experienced with Windows Explorer is not
occurring anymore, but you're still curious as to why the problem had
occurred in the first place.

Am I right?

What is the make and model of your PC?

What method did you use to restore your PC to its original state?

You stated that System Restore didn't work. What exactly happened?

What do you think you spelled incorrectly?

In the future, post here if you experience a problem rather than
starting from scratch!

Yeah, I did mean that, restored it to the state when it was new. And I don't
have a floopy drive, this computer was bought on about 2003.
