Hi,
We have multiple Asus notebooks with the same problem. I have managed to
narrow the problem down to a XP problem. The notebooks have 2 batteries, when
both are installed XP stops responding loading the splash screen. When we
have installed 1 battery, the problem doesn't exist. Btw in windows 2000 it
works perfect.
The only work around solution i have found is to disable one of the
Microsoft ACPI compliant batteries in the device manager. Than it works fine.
Only problem is that you cannot see the status of both batteries. The
disabled one is still working though.
If anyone can help me, I would surely appriciate it.
