2007 Signatures erase all existing text

I am having an issue with one of the 2007 users - when composing an email,
when she selects a signature to insert all text in the email vanishes and
she is left with nothing but the selected signature. This is a particular
problem because she will often insert multiple signatures into her emails.
I have been unable to reproduce this effect on my machine (also running
2007). Does anybody know how to correct this?

Obviously she is typing in the signature area instead of the message body.
Switching signature will then also remove that text that she typed in the
signature area.

Why does she insert multiple signature into an email? Tell her not to abuse
to signature feature to put in "text blocks"; use Quick Parts for that, it's
the 2007 version of AutoText.

Is there any way to make the Quick Parts share text blocks between Word and
Outlook? ie: can she create a Quick Part in one have be able to use it in
the other or does she have to create it in both places?

It does not matter how many lines of freshly-typed text I place the cursor
above, the <insert signature> function will always erase the signature at
the bottom of the message. The advantages of and reasons for doing this are
entirely beyond my comprehension.

text other than her signature then she is abusing the signature feature
which would result in such unexpected behavior.

No, each application have their own Quick Part Gallery.

They had to go through quite a bit of effort to make the signatures behave
that way in 2007 - did anybody actually ask for this "feature"?

It works like this for previous versions as well when you have Word set as
the email editor.
Since Outlook 2003 it is linked to account switching as well; when you
switch the sending account, it will automatically switch your signature to
the one for the corresponding account. This was indeed a much requested
feature.
