I have FP 2000 and upgraded to 2003
My Office suite is XP2002
Then I went to MS Office updates website and was notified that I needed to install some updates
These updates asked for my FP 2000 disc
When the download and install was complete...I had FP 2000 again

How can I use FP2003 upgrade with office XP2002 and be current with updates

Thank

In anticipation of a possible reply I did two things to be ready
First I went to office updates site and checked for my current status and the result was that my computer required no updates. Next I decided to reinstall the upgrade to FP2003 and then see if I would, upon return to the Office update website, it would state that I needed the update Office 2000sp1 and roll me back again. But I didn't make it that far. The upgrade install reset my computer after removing FP2000 and left me with nothing. Brilliant software. So now I'm gonna do a new install of the upgrade..

Ideas??
Anybody??

Gee, sarcastic, angry, and more than willing to blame something/someone
other than yourself for your problems while you ask for a handout.

You must be a Democrat.

Woah Bob...

Democrat? No I'm a communist.

That's why I thought I might get help in a "community" forum.

:) Good advice.

So Bob....first of all I paid for this defective peice of crap product. I do expect it to work. These community groups have always been helpfull...good people in general it seems around here. There seems to be some error on the media as well. Can't read one of the files on install now. Gonna try copying the cd to my HD and install from there, as I had to do with my copy of Office as well. In addition my orig Office installation has been corrupted by this process and is now seeking to reinstall each application as I run them as if they have never been run before. Cool eh...new feature for 2003?

But you...no help and just some self perceived witty banter and an arrogant attitude....must be a republican! ;-)

Thanks so much.

Peace

My understanding of the required sequence of events is to reinstall your old
versions of office and FP2000.
Then install all office updates. Then install FP2003. I think somewhere in
the fine print is a recommendation to make sure all updates are installed.
