2003 outlook - WinXP

One user on a multi-user machine cannot receive email.
All other users (& their profiles) are ok. We have tries
Synch'ing the folders as suggested by Microsoft support,
but to no avail. Suggestions??

Also, a user on another machine (also 03 and XP) cannor
receive email without hitting the "Send/Receive" button.
How can we fix this setting to be automatic?

to furthew clarify, messages sit on the Server but will
not load to her local machine. Other machine can receive
her email (if cinfigured) just not her own
