2003; Outgoing mail just sits & won't send

Does anyone know how I can prod an email along out the door that likes it
better on my nice, warm hard drive? The darn thing just sits there no
matter how many times I hit "send".....

I have 2000, but I had that problem too until I went into my options and
selected the option under mail delivery "send messages immediately when
connected". Maybe that will do the trick, I am sure it is probably called
something different under 2003.
