2003 Formatting - Going nusto!!!

Migrated from 97.

Have turned OFF most Auto Formatting. Have deleted all styles I can from this doc.

Have tried using 'normal' and 'body text' (after formatting 'em to my preferences) and marked boxes to 'add to template'.

Even tried "disable all features after 97' Didn't make ANY difference.

When I highlight a p and bullit it, it auto includes either the preceeding or following paragraph!

Have margins set to 1in. But when I block a paragraph or try to bullit it, it moves margin for other paragraphs.

Am pretty familiar w/Word; been using if for years. Can't track this down and been trying for DAYS. HELP!!!
