2003 databases problems in 2007 - HELP!

I just upgraded to Access 2007 and when I opened a database I created with
2003 it just does not work. My logo form pops up but then does not go away
(even though it is on a timer) to reveal the main form. The buttons (that
run queries, forms, reports, etc.) on the main form do not work and even just
trying to running any of my queries independent of the forms results in nada.
What is the problem besides my unfamiliarity with Access 2007?

Is the database file in a Trusted Folder (this is a setting in ACCESS 2007
that lets ACCESS 2007 run your code; otherwise, ACCESS blocks the running of
any macros or VBA programming).
