Access 2007 problem

I have a form which is a main menu for different forms. In Access 2000
opening a form would leave the main menu open on the bottom taskbar so that I
could switch back and forth between different forms, but in 2007 I can only
keep one form open. Similarly, when I click a command button on a form to
open a report, in 2000 there was a close button which would take me back to
the form, but in 2007 I have to close the database and start again. Can
anyone suggest a solution?

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like some object properties need to be modified. 2007 does allow more
than one form to be open. Moving back and forth depends on whether the forms
are set as Modal. To close a report should be able to just click the Close X
in right corner, if this property is set to Yes. Believe you can add a
command button to a form that would be set to not print when report printed
and then code it to close the report, seen it, haven't used.

Thanks very much for your help. I find Office 2007 so user unfriendly that I
am thinking of going back to 2000!

Edit my typo of previous post. I meant 'add a command button to a report ...'
