2000 Service Pack 3 Installation

I am trying to downloan the Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 to my computer that
is running Windows ME. I need to do this so that I can install my Norton
2006 that I have downloaded but can't install.
A box pops up that is "Error Starting Program". The SP3EXPRESS.ese file is
linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:_allmul.
When I click the ok
Another box appears that tells me that "Error" A device attached to the
system is not functioning.

What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this? I know just enough about this to
get into trouble so if someone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks.

Appears you are trying to download the realtime installer.....Only way
this is accomplished is if you are running win2k....Hence why it is
searching for the NTD file..........

What you need is the FULL network install download.........Any reason
you're not grabbing SP4 instead? It has all added updates of SP1-
SP3.......Please copy & paste all links to your browser as my newsreader
is set to 80 characters only per line....Don't just click on the
links............

Main site:

Here is the network download:

After you can do the rollup to SP4 but you may have to do that on the
Win2k install as it wants that validation bullshit, or just use the Win
update page after when you install SP4:

You're trying to install a Windows 2000 Service Pack on a PC
that runs Windows ME. These are two completely different
operating systems. It's like trying to mate a cat with a dog.

To solve your problem, repost in a Windows ME (or Windows 98)
newsgroup, or check the Norton FAQ pages.

I assume also you are asking this because you want to save it to your
drive because you are installing Win2K & getting rid of ME? If not than
I misread your intentions and Pegasus is correct........
