Does anyone know how to unistall a windows 2000 server
from a multiboot system so that you dont leave
miscellaneous files about the place?

The multiboot setup has windows 98SE and win2000 server
only.

You can boot with your Win98 startup disk and issue the command
sys C:
this will rewrite the boot sector, then you can delete these files boot.ini,
ntldr, ntdetect.com, bootsect.dos, pagefile.sys and possibly ntbootdd.sys
from the root of the System partition C:\., then you can delete the Windows
2000 boot partition.

Many thanks Dave I'll give it a try.

Dave is correct. The process is documented in Knowledge Base article 171444
Removing Windows NT from a Windows 95/98 Dual-Boot Installation
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;171444)
