2000 group policies and windows xp

Can a windows 2000 server with group policies affect a
windows xp machine? I am trying to set up a group policy
on a windows 2000 server so that when the windows xp
machine logs in, the Run option in the Start menu isn't
there.
 
Sure he can ..

Just take care that the system.adm (and others) in the c:\winnt\inf directory of the XP-cliënt are copied to the 2000- winnt\inf directory

Then just choose the right polic
